Publishing
When you publish, the Market checks your recipe against every other. If it’s too close to an existing Mark, you’re asked to move it further. That check is what makes ownership meaningful: nobody can publish a near-copy of yours.
How creators are paid
- A share of the claim price when someone claims your Mark.
- The same share of every yearly renewal while they hold it.
- A royalty each time it’s resold on the Market.
Holders can sell a Mark they’ve outgrown at their own price; the licence moves to the buyer and you earn your royalty. A good Mark keeps paying as it changes hands.
